Dr. Susan P. Convery

Dr. Susan P. Convery (is a fixed-term professor at Michigan State University (MSU). Professor Convery teaches governmental and not-for-profit accounting in the B.A. in Accounting program and principles of Federal income tax accounting in the M.S.—Accounting and Data Analytics program in MSU’s Broad College of Business.    She is a co-author of Using Excel for Business Decisions: WBT Consulting (Armond Dalton), Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting and Auditing:  An Active-Learning Workbook (Cambridge Business Publishers), Gatsby Manufacturing, Inc.: A Managerial Accounting Project (Armond Dalton She has published journal articles in The Accounting ReviewIssues in Accounting EducationResearch in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting, among others. Professor Convery has been President of the Government and Nonprofit Section of the American Accounting Association (AAA), AAA representative to the Government Accounting Standards Board Advisory Committee (GASAC), and chair of the Michigan Association of CPA’s Nonprofit Committee. She is an Emeritus Professor from Eastern Michigan University.  She was awarded the American Taxation Association/Deloitte Teaching Innovation Award (2018) with two MSU colleagues.
