Mac Users

Although Macs are used widely in the creative world, the Windows Operating System is the standard in business environments. As such, many business applications do not run natively on a Mac. We as the publisher are limited by the software that is provided by the accounting software companies, such as Intuit.

However, you can run Windows on a Mac using Boot Camp. All Macs from 2013 forward have Boot Camp automatically loaded on the system. You will need to obtain a copy of Windows to install on your Mac. You should check with your professor to see if your school has a volume license or a DreamSpark Premium subscription, allowing you to purchase Windows at a discount. If neither option is available, you can purchase an inexpensive copy of Windows online.

Click on the link below for helpful instructions from Apple on how to use Boot Camp to partition your hard drive and install Windows.
